The value of life

by Ursula Cross

(30 January 2021) In a writing competition on the topic of "Generations", the text below won 1st prize in the "Children's" category. The text by the 11-year-old boy truly warms the heart. A welcome treat in these unpredictable and, for many, very stressful times.

Human relationships are and remain paramount to our well-being, no matter what age. Children in particular are dependent on true human relationships for learning and developing empathy. But older people also suffer from the lack of human encounters.

The text below radiates the value of human relationship at every age. A deserved winner.

Book Analysis

"Empire USA"

A historical overview by Daniele Ganser

rl. The merits of Daniele Ganser's new publication "Imperium USA. Die skrupellose Weltmacht” (Empire USA. The unscrupulous world power) are evident from the criticism he receives from the mainstream press. Instead of debating over the substance, the critics blame him for the choice of his study; he would have been better off focusing on China. Such assertions whet our curiosity.

Agricultural policies Brunch

Preserving farms and food security is a task for society as a whole

by Marita Brune

For a short time, the discussion of agricultural policy issues was alive in Germany in the general public. The lockdown and political calculations almost put an end to it. A new approach was sought with an “agricultural policies brunch” in the region of lake Constance in Baden-Württemberg. It is one of several new paths how farmers are trying to attract public attention for issues that are imminent for society as a whole.
